Short project description: Engendering community support for remaining rainforests of SW Ghana.

Description of the consulting services: The PADP aims to contribute to the protection of Ankasa and Bia conservation areas, two of the last remaining high forest sites in Ghana. Technical Assistance in conservation and rural development is providing local people with the means and incentives to protect the forest areas and participate in their management with the Wildlife Department.

Title of consulting services provided: PADP - Services for Tender Preparation and Evaluation

Description of services provided: The Company assessed conditions and constraints facing the project at the proposed rainforest sites, before preparing a project design in support of the conservation and sustainable-use of intact, tall rain forest in Bia, Ankasa and Nini Suhien PAs, including protection of the elephant migrations, which was incorporated into the ToR, and a dossier for restricted tenders. The Company also supplied technical evaluations of the prequalification submissions and restricted tenders, including a financial evaluation.
