Title of consulting services provided: Survey of Fig Insects Inhabiting Syconia of Wild Fig Species in Malaysia.Description of services provided: The Company has undertaken surveys of insects inhabiting syconia of 18 species of wild fig, including monoecious and dioecious species, and a variety of growth forms (banyans, stranglers, stem figs, earth figs, bush figs, vine figs and epiphytes) in lowland and sub-montane forests of W. Malaysia, Sabah, Sarawak and Sumatra. Reference collections have been retained by the company. Preliminary results were published in Animal Behaviour (Vol. 38:186-193).Staff provided: Dr M.G. Murray (Biodiversity specialist). |
