Description of the consulting services: The purpose of the WMTP is to maximise efficiency of wildlife management activities in SADC member states, by providing direct training support to wildlife management professionals, while helping coordinate and improve the quality and sustainability of key training products available to them at the College of African Management in Tanzania, and through the Tropical Resource Ecology Programme at the University of Zimbabwe (UZ).

Title of consulting services provided: Provide a Link Coordinator to manage the research training provided by Edinburgh University (EU).

Description of services provided: The Link Coordinator is responsible for the UZ/EU Tropical Resource Ecology Link and has the following duties: planning teaching schedules; organizing staff exchanges; coordinating and supervising research projects; administration and accounting. The main objective of the Link is to strengthen the capacity of the SADC region to train senior wildlife management personnel. Research programmes centre on social and ecological questions of relevance to current conservation policy.
